Due to negligence of health workers at Government Medical College, Pilibhit, a woman had to be delivered on the bench outside the emergency room. During this time the newborn died. Despite this, the emergency doctors and staff did not come for help. Later the pregnant woman was admitted to the women’s hospital in the MCH wing.
Family members allege that the e-rickshaw driver had left the car outside the emergency. The doctor and staff present in the emergency were requested to take the woman to the hospital, but no one listened. Due to this, the lady attendant and the patients sitting in the park delivered her.
Krishnapal, a resident of Prithvipur village of Hafizganj police station in Bareilly district, along with his wife Munni Devi and daughter-in-law Suman had come two days ago to attend a wedding ceremony at the house of his brother-in-law Pappu, a resident of Devipura village on Madhotanda Road. When his pregnant daughter-in-law Suman went into labor around 1 pm on Wednesday afternoon, the family first started calling an ambulance, but then the family took her to the hospital in an e-rickshaw.
